Stupid FOX!
Apparently FOX is planning to announce tomorrow during their upfront presentations for upcoming schedules that the premiere of Season 4 of 24 will be in January - and moved to Monday nights. For fuck’s sake 
I don’t care so much about a shift to a new day, I’ll watch the show whenever it’s on. But having to wait til freaking January just plain sucks. Of course, it sucks for me, the viewer for purely selfish reasons becaue if I had my perfect little world, Jack Bauer would be saving the world seven days a week, 365 days a year. It’s probably beneficial to the actual people who produce and write the show though because this gives them a nice long break to really flesh out the season and plan it well. It probably also gives the principal cast time off to pursue other projects (ie. Kiefer’s upcoming role in a film called ‘River Queen’ that is in pre-production right now.)
Here are a couple articles discussing this potential shift and they almost make it out like FOX is trying to kill the show by giving it a slow death on Monday nights against Big 3 networks cornerstone shows and sporting events. I truly hope that’s not true. 24 is one of the best shows on television but it’s status is precarious because of its format. If you mess with it too much, you might end up losing viewers.

Big damn reveal eh kids? :) I sort of saw it coming right before they revealed the end but then again I thought it might just have been wishful thinking.
