It's a shoe-in
According to the futoncritic, 24 is considered a shoe-in for renewal. W00t!
Just thought I'd mention that. FOX is moving towards a year-round tv schedule as opposed to a traditional season and made a bunch of announcements to that effect. So keep the fingers and toes crossed! FOX is due to make everything official at the networks' annual upfront presentations in New York during the month of May. FOX's presentation is on May 20th. Hopefully we'll have some sort of unofficial word before then though.

Let the cougar go already
In the runup to 24 coming back on the air next Tuesday (brief pause while I do a cartwheel or two), a number of critics have been mentioning the cougar again as a way to summarize all that was evil with season 2. Enough already, geez.
I've already done a whole post about Kim and how her plights in S2 weren't nearly as bad (or stupid) as some people like to think they were so I won't rehash that. I'll just say that the cougar was onscreen for all of maybe 30 seconds. We saw quick shots of it sauntering through some bushes, and then it came out and stood on a precipice. That's it. Big fecking deal. Let it go already critics, because while you may find it amusing to mention it in your reviews, realise that it's not exactly an original thought and many many other critics mention it as well. Which means people like me have to read about the damn cougar over and over again until we get fed up with it and start thinking most critics are full of shit ;)
There. I said it.
So we only have a few (hopefully short) days left until our beloved show returns. I still have about five episodes to watch before then so I'll have a busy weekend ahead of me :) I'm just up to the virus auction now and the whole 'convince me' scene was the last one I saw. It's been a long break, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel and as predicted, I'm about to burst in anticipation :) Will Michelle make it through the night? Will Tony realise what a prat he was to her before she left CTU? Will Jack admit the real reason(s) for becoming a junkie? Will Gael live? Will Sherry screw over David yet again? Will Wayne stop being a wanker? Tick boom.
Before I go I have another quick site update. I've unfortunately had to remove my audio page of 24 and Kiefer wav files. I just don't have the bandwidth/storage requirements for it :( So to anyone who came here looking for that sort of thing, please check out Kiefer-rocks' site as she's got a whole slew of audio from the show and Kiefer flicks, as well as great video clips. Thanks!

Site Update
Just a quick site update...
I've added a new section called In the Media you can check out. Occasionally I get sent scans of magazine articles in which our illustrious cast members have appeared or the show has been featured. This is where I'll be sticking the scans.
24 was recently featured in a UK magazine called Cult Times and SGQ of the Krew was kind enough to scan the article and allow me to host it, so thanks SGQ!
I hope to fill this section with more scans so if you've seen 24 or any 24 castmember featured in a magazine recently, feel free to email it to me and I'll be sure and credit you and post it.
