Presidential brother Wayne and evidently, David’s sister will be a “presence” next season. DB Woodside and Regina King have signed on for season 6.
And apparently, in some weird constitutional move I’m not familiar with, Wayne will be assuming the presidency after Weaselhead Logan is booted removed from office. not sure how THAT works but okay. [LINK]

Well I am guessing season 6 occurs a few years or so after season 5, so I am assuming that the vice president of course took over Logans job and decided to not run at the next election.
I don’t think it’s going to be *that* far ahead next season. It looks like the season is shaping up to be about everyone out to get Jack, from the Chinese to his own government. If S6 is years in the future then I doubt all that would still be going on.
Then again I don’t read spoilers so I’m probably just talking out of my ass.
It’s been 3 years, since David Palmer stepped down, so one year in the future of Season 5 there will be elections again. I guess this means Jack will be longer with the Chinese, than we’d hoped. 0_0
Of course I should add that I believe the China plot will be tied into the sixth season and not simply dropped like some people blieve.
Ah I didn’t know it had been 3 years, my bad.
It would be pointless IMO if they dropped the china plot right away, I doubt they would do that.
