    I wonder...

I'm rewatching Monday's show. Nathanson just bought it and I'm just wondering if the blood trickling down his chin from his mouth was a little nod to Wynn Davies' vampire days :) Anyone else think that or was it just me?

Maybe that's a bit of a stretch but it struck me as amusing anyway. Vampires are such messy eaters you know.

    Transcript Update

At long last Dan Smith has reappeared and given me another transcript for your enjoyment :) Episode #4, 11am - 12pm from Season 2 has just been added to the transcripts.

    Thanks Dan! Enjoy everyone!

I also wanted to add that I really appreciate the cool comments you guys have been leaving and the words of encouragement really keep me going and make this a lot of fun. And well, I am a confessed feedback whore so please keep 'em coming! :D

(By the way - the latest rumours I'm seeing involve a trilogy of 24 movies now possibly involving a cameo from bruse Willis? Yikes. Sounds more like a tabloid rumour that's been snowballing...)

    Byebye Baddies

It never fails. For every bad guy, there is a bigger baddie behind him. Tonight a moment of noise for the untimely deaths for two of this season's baddies - Badger and Nick Knight (or Erwich and Nathanson as they're SUPPOSED to be called.)

Badger bought it at the hand of Bigger Baddie Bierko (played by the delicious Julian Sands. If you ever get the chance, look for an old movie called "Gothic" he was in. He played the poet Shelley. I fell in lust with him in that movie.)

Apparently Bierko is an oppressed Russian with a British accent who is pissed that Badger wasted some of the gas on Americans. His aim was the original plan of releasing the gas on Russian soil. But that's out the window now and so his only alternative is to go after the Russian president himself who, as you know, is in town with Logan to sign the treaty.

So Bierko calls Logan and threatens to release the gas if Logan doesn't get him President Suvarov's motorcade schedule. We then have to watch Logan stammer and stutter as he tries to wake up the hamster and make a decision on whether he can look Suvarov in the eye and then send him and his wife off to his death.

Meanwhile, Jack's decision to save the mall people results in the trail of the canisters going cold. And McGill is pissed. Well, basically McGill is pissed because he discovered that when his sister rolled him, she took his key card and without it he apparently can't function normally. On top of that the President is calling him and treating him as the whipping boy because everything is not magically fixed. So naturally McGill starts taking his anger out on CTU staff. He begins acting paranoid and orders Curtis to bring Jack back to CTU - and I think he meant in custody as well because Curtis took Jack's gun.

Since the trail is cold Jack agrees to go back to CTU with Curtis - BUT now Nathanson gets a hold of Audrey and tells her he can help recover the canisters. Audrey wants to know why he suddenly wants to help. Well Bierko of course is trying to deal with his loose ends and wants Nathanson dead. He knows too much. So, on the down low, Audrey hooks Nathanson up with Jack who is then forced to knock out Curtis and steal the SUV in order to go and meet Nathanson.

When McGill finds this out, ohhh there is hell to pay. He begins shadowing Audrey who had asked Chloe to secretly delete her phone logs to cover up the call from Nathanson to Jack. This only fuels McGill's paranoia.

Jack meets up with Nathanson mid-battle because Bierko's thugs have found him. Of course Nathanson is fatally shot just as Jack disables the thugs. Just before my favorite vampire (apart from Kiefer/David of course :D) dies he manages to give Jack a chip. As Jack transmits the files to Chloe we find out that the intel on the chip leads to a big corporation whose name escapes me at the moment that Jack recognizes. And there is a guy named Chris Henderson on the board of this corporation that Jack also knows but for now, we're left in the dark as to how Jack knows him.

Back at CTU, Lynn has freaked and is monitoring everything and he's taken Buchanan out of the action by sticking him in holding. He's losing it bigtime. If he wasn't a hobbit I'd hate him.

And finally, back at the President's compound, Mad Martha is let in on the problem with Suvarov and she's aghast that Logan is even considering allowing the Russians go to their deaths. But she goes with Logan for the goodbyes and photo ops with Suvarov and his wife. But you can tell she's apprehensive and nervous about it.

As they say goodbye to the Suvarov's, Martha can't bring herself to tell them but she also can't bring herself to let them go so what does she do? She gets in the limo with them. *sigh* I don't quite know what to make of Martha at this point. I can't figure out if she's really unbalanced, or smarter than Logan's entire administration. But I suppose the writers want us to wonder about her.

I was happy to see some Chloe snarkiness tonight. Always a bonus. All in all there was a lot of info to ingest but I'm still sort of sad to see Badger and Nick go :(

    Tick boom.
