Jun 11, 2008 – Western Cape, South Africa – Exclusive, KIEFER SUTHERLAND and ROBERT CARLYLE on set for the shooting of the prequel movie of the hit TV series 24. Shooting started at a secret location in the Western Cape on June 4 & is due to wrap by June 20. Carlyle plays Benton, Jack Bauer’s mentor in Africa in a two-hour feature film that finds Bauer battling an international crisis in South Africa while the U.S. ushers in a new president on Inauguration Day. The movie fills in the two-year gap between the end of season six and the beginning of season seven of 24 which is due to air next year. Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal) plays a State Department officer ordered to serve Bauer with a subpoena to appear before the Senate.
