Recap: Previously on
24.
JACK BAUER(PHONE):
Mr. President- the soldiers that attacked us at the crash site; they were
Americans. Their commander is a Colonel Samuels. Whoever attacked us had access
to our flight plans. The only way they could’ve have gotten that information
was from the inside.
PRESIDENT DAVID
PALMER: Roger. Tell me everything you know about Colonel Ron Samuels from
---------------------------------
ROGER STANTON:
I don’t know anything about a Colonel Samuels.
PALMER: I just
spoke to Roger Stanton. I think he’s hiding something from me. I’m going to
arrest him.
SHERI PALMER:
I wanted to warn you. They know about OPCOM.
SHERI: I told
them. This way, I can get him trusting me again.
----------------------------------
SAYED ALI:
If she would have known anything, she would have told us. Kill her.
KATE WARNER:
You don’t have to kill me.
----------------------------------
[Jack Bauer
runs in and takes out the man holding Kate Warner hostage.]
JACK: Can you
identify any words they said; anything at all?
KATE: Salat.
It means prayer.
JACK(RADIO):
I want a list of every mosque in a 15-miles radius.
JACK: I don’t
know what Sayed Ali looks like. I need you to identify him for me.
-----------------------------------------
MIGUEL: Start
a fire.
KIMBERLY BAUER:
What?! You’re crazy.
MIGEUL: Crazier
than going to LA where a nuclear bomb might go off any minute?
[The police
SUV looses controls and tumbles off a hill.]
KIM(RADIO):
There has been an accident. We need an ambulance right away.
--------------------------------------
REZA NAIYEER:
Somebody hacked in.
AGENT RICHARDS:
Who else had access to it?
[Agent Richards
get shot.]
REZA: Marie?
MARIE WARNER:
I didn’t expect you to find anything.
[Reza shakes
his head and Marie shoots him.]
---
**The following
takes place between 6PM and 7PM.**
---
[Kim runs through
the forest away from the rescue and medic teams for the police car. A helicopter
is in the air, Kim hides in a cave.]
---
[Marie takes
her gun and put it in her purse. She takes out the computer and cuts out the
hard drive, puts it in her purse also. Marie’s cell phone rings, she picks
it up and answers.]
MARIE WARNER:
Hello.
SAYED ALI:
Marie, we have a problem.
MARIE: What
is it?
ALI: Basheer
and Marko are dead. Omar has the van now.
MARIE: What
do you need me to do?
ALI: They were
supposed to pick up the trigger.
MARIE: Where
is it?
ALI: At the
place where Marko worked. In his locker. R & J Lumber in Burbank.
MARIE: Is there
a combination?
ALI: No, it
requires a key. You must do whatever you can to gain access to this locker
and bring the trigger to Omar as soon as possible.
MARIE: You
want me to do this?
ALI: Marie,
our mission depends on you now. I’m counting on you.
MARIE: I’ll
take care of it.
ALI: I know
you will.
MARIE: I’ll
see you there.
ALI: Marie,
you should change your appearance.
MARIE: Okay.
---
[Sayed Ali
enters the mosque.]
---
JACK BAUER:
Once we get to the mosque, we’ll work up the tactical teams. All we need you
to do is to identify Sayed Ali. Then I’ll transfer you back to CTU. You okay?
KATE: Yeah.
JACK: Look.
I know how difficult this must be for you.
KATE: Do you?
Now, it would really help me out a lot if you could tell me what’s going on.
JACK: I’m afraid
I’m not at liberty to tell you any more than I already have.
KATE: Your
people took the liberty of arresting my father. Sayed Ali took the liberty
of kidnapping me and killing Paul Koplin in front of me. I think I’ve earned
the right to know what’s going on.
JACK: We believe
that Sayed Ali is in the center of a terrorist attack that’s gonna take place
in Los Angeles today.
KATE: What
kind of terrorist attack?
JACK: A nuclear
bomb.
[Kate Warner
gasps.]
JACK: You’re
the only person we know of that have seen him. We need you to identify him
for us. The reason why I’m taking you with me now is because we’re running
out of time.
[Jack’s phone
rings. He answers.]
JACK: Jack
Bauer.
GEORGE MASON:
Hey. It’s George. Baker should be on site any minute. I got a hard perimeter
set up around the mosque.
JACK: Okay.
I’ll get back to you as soon as we get there, George.
MASON: Uh…
Jack, there’s something I gotta talk to you about. Uhm… I just got off the
Sheriff’s Department at Newhall, they were transporting Kim when they got
into some kind of accident.
JACK: What
are you talking about? What kind of accident?
MASON: Don’t
worry, she’s alright. She didn’t get hurt or anything.
JACK: What
the hell was she doing with the local authorities George? Your people were
supposed to pick her up.
MASON: Well
by the time our guys got to the station, they’d already moved her. I don’t
know, there was some local deputy trying to be a big shot, claiming jurisdiction
for a murder charge.
JACK: Where
is she now?
MASON: She
ran off after the accident. I don't know if she was trying to avoid the local
police or trying not to get brought back to LA.
JACK: Dammit
George, you told me you would take care of this. You gave me your word. Please,
please. Find my daughter.
MASON: Jack,
if it’s any consolation, she is outside the projected blast radius.
JACK: Just
find her, George.
KATE: What
was that about?
JACK: My daughter.
KATE: Is she
involved in this somehow?
JACK: No.
KATE: She’s
in some kind of trouble though.
JACK: I don’t
know yet. I hope not.
---
MIKE NOVICK(PHONE):
Yes I’ll tell him.
[Mike Novick
hangs up.]
MIKE: The consensus
at Justice tells us that the evidence against Stanton isn’t actionable.
PALMER: How
much more do they need? We’ve established a direct link between Stanton and
the rouge mercenaries that shot down Bauer’s plane.
MIKE: That
connection is still circumstantial.
PALMER: He’s
been sabotaging our efforts to find the bomb all day. I cannot and I will
not allow him to continue heading up NSA.
MIKE: I’m only
saying it’s going to take time to get a judge to issue a warrant.
PALMER: We
don’t have time Mike.
MIKE: Then
don’t worry about a pretext. Take him out of play now and we’ll deal with
the legal ramifications tomorrow.
PALMER: Sheri
was right… My own people working against me.
MIKE: Stanton
won’t be easy to break. Not in the time we have. We may need to expand the
limits of how far you’ve been willing to go in the past.
PALMER: What
are you saying Mike.
MIKE: That
you do whatever it takes to find out what Stanton knows about this bomb.
LYNNE KRESEGE:
I’m sorry Mrs. Palmer, but I can’t disturb them right now.
SHERI PALMER:
You know, David only knows about Stanton because of me, and it makes no sense
that he’s keeping me out of the loop.
KRESEGE: Well
I’m not sure what you think I can do about that.
SHERI: Well
why don’t you just tell me what he’s doing about Stanton?
KRESEGE: He
hasn’t let me in on it yet, so I don’t know what’s been decided.
SHERI: Well
can’t you find out?
KRESEGE: Mrs.
Palmer, if the President wanted input from either of us, I’m sure he would
let us know.
SHERI: Look
Lynne, you took credit for my work on David’s speech, and that was okay, I
was fine with that. But right now my only interest is to help David get through
this day. Now I assume that’s your priority as well?
KRESEGE: I’ll
see what I can do.
---
[Tactical,
field ops and medic are prepping in the parking lot opposite to the mosque.
Jack Bauer’s car arrives. Jack helps Kate get out.]
AGENT: Ms.
Warner.
JACK: She stays
with me.
TOM BAKER:
We’re good to go. I’ve got 30 men deployed ready to move on your order.
JACK: How many
people in the mosque?
BAKER: 100
to 125, divided into target groups of 10 each.
[Baker hands
Jack Bauer his badge and gun.]
JACK: We’re
not going in, not yet.
BAKER: Sir?
JACK: We go
in hot, we’re gonna have crowd control situation. It’ll give Sayed Ali time
to take his own life before Kate can identify him.
BAKER: What’s
the alternative?
JACK: We wait
for the prayer service to end. He comes out with everybody else, Kate identifies
him, then we’ll take him out surgically. Fast and alive. He’s no good us dead.
BAKER: What
if somebody spots us first? They phone Ali, we loose our surprise, that's
assuming he’s even inside. We’re working on a weak hunch here Jack. He might
be at some other mosque.
JACK: We’re
gonna have to take that chance. We're waiting this out.
KATE: I could
go in. See if he’s inside. I’ll wear a hijab. Hide my face. He won’t
see me.
[Jack turns
around from watching the mosque through binoculars and faces Kate Warner.]
JACK: Sorry
I don’t feel comfortable putting you in that kind of a position.
KATE: From
what you’ve told me, we’re all in a pretty bad position. If I could help,
I’d really like the chance.
[Jack blinks,
turns around.]
JACK: You really
think you can do this?
KATE: Yeah.
JACK: Get me
the schematics to the mosque. I’ll look at the floor plans.

[Roger Stanton
types at his laptop. Suddenly, a pop-up appears, which says ‘Access Denied.’
Mike Novick goes into the office of President Palmer.]
MIKE: Everything's
in place, Mr. President.
PALMER: Do
it.
MIKE: Yes sir.
MIKE(RADIO):
Let’s move.
[Roger Stanton
takes off his glasses as Mike steps back out to the general area. 3 military
men heads towards Stanton purposefully. Everyone looks at the commotion. The
men stands around Stanton, surrounding him. Mike Novick steps up behind.]
ROGER STANTON:
What’s going on Mike?
MAN: Mr. Stanton.
By orders of the President, I’m placing you under arrest for conspiracy to
commit reason against the United States of America.
STANTON: What
the hell are you talking about?
[The man nods
to his too colleagues, who grabs Stanton by the hands. Stanton shakes them
off and stands up. Everyone in the room is staring.]
STANTON: Hands
off. I demand to speak to the President.
MAN: I’m sure
you’ll get your chance sir. Let’s go.
[Stanton pockets
his glasses, stares at David Palmer through the glass window of the President’s
office. Stanton is escorted out by the three men, followed by Mike Novick.
They disappear in an elevator. Lynne knocks on the President’s office’s window
and enters.]
PALMER: Come
in.
KRESEGE: Sir.
Mrs. Palmer’s been trying to reach you for the last half hour.
PALMER: Yes
I know.
KRESEGE: She’s
on line 7 waiting right now. I can put her off if you like.
PALMER: No
I’ll take it. Thank you.
KRESEGE: Yes
sir.
[Lynne Kresge
exits. Palmer goes over to his phone and picks it up.]
PALMER: Yes,
Sheri, what is it?
SHERI: Oh David,
thank God. I was just wondering what you were going to do about Roger.
PALMER: I’m
having him questioned.
SHERI: Well,
has he admitted to having Jack Bauer’s plane shot down?
PALMER: Not
yet.
SHERI: Then
we don’t know anymore than we did an hour ago.
PALMER: What
is your point Sheri?
SHERI: My point
is I think you should have waited for something more concrete.
PALMER: I don’t
run my decisions past you Sheri, not anymore.
SHERI: A large
part of the intelligence you’re basing your decisions on, David, came from
me. I think I’ve earned a seat at the table here.
PALMER: You’re
not a member of my staff. You’re not a government employee. And you’re not
my wife.
SHERI: That
was your decision, not mine.
PALMER: Sheri
listen to me, whatever role you’re playing here today is on my terms, my timetable.
Continue doing what you’re doing. I’ll speak to you soon.
SHERI: But-
[David Palmer
hangs up. Kresege looks through the glass window at him.]
---
MICHELLE DESSLER(PHONE):
We need one person that we can coordinate with, not three.
MAN(PHONE):
Yeah we got that sorted out.
MICHELLE(PHONE):
Okay. Well you have him contact Jack Bauer, he’s running point for us. Okay.
[Michelle Dessler
hangs up. Tony Almeida approaches, and sits down on a nearby cabinet.]
TONY ALMEIDA:
Hey.
MICHELLE: FBI.
They want a representative at the mosque, but they’ve got their wires crossed.
TONY: Listen,
what we were talking about before…
MICHELLE: Yeah…
I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have put you on the spot like that.
TONY: Well-
No, actually, I’m glad you did.
MICHELLE: You
are?
TONY: Yeah.
There’s been something hanging between us since you started here.
MICHELLE: Yeah.
Yeah there has.
TONY: I made
a decision a while ago to try to keep personal and professional stuff separate.
But now I…
[Tony grins
sheepishly. The phone rings, Michelle answers it.]
MICHELLE: Michelle
Dessler.
WOMAN: Let
Almeida know that Warner’s getting agitated.
MICHELLE: Okay,
I’ll tell him.
[Michelle hangs
up.]
MICHELLE: There’s
a problem in room seven.
TONY: Bob Warner?
MICHELLE: Yeah,
he’s getting violent.
[Tony exits.]
BOB WARNER:
Get your hands off of me! You can’t keep me here!
[Tony Almeida
enters room 7, where Bob Warner is held. Bob Warner is, indeed getting violent.
2 guards fights to restrain him.]
TONY: What’s
going on here?
GUARD: He asked
for water. When I brought it in, he rushed and bolted out the door.
BOB: Why can’t
I see my lawyer?
[Tony takes
the chair and slams it against the floor.]
TONY: Sit him
down. Calm down Mr. Warner!
BOB: I won’t
calm down! I want someone to start listening to me.
TONY: I need
you to calm down.
BOB: Whatever
Reza’s told you, he’s lying.
TONY: You are
not helping your case here. You understand me? You wanna have a conversation,
or do you want me to lock you up for the rest of the night?! Huh?!
[Bob finally
calms down. The two guards lets go of him.]
BOB: Where
are my daughters…?
TONY: Marie
left here 5 minutes after Reza was taken to your office.
BOB: What about
Kate?
[Tony Almeida
glances up at one of the two guards.]
BOB: What?
Has something happened to Kate?
TONY: She’s
with one of our agents.
BOB: One of
your agents? Why?
TONY: You’re
gonna have to trust us Mr. Warner. She’s gonna be fine, alright?
BOB: Trust?
---
JACK: Okay.
This is where the men pray, in front, closest to the entrance. Now you walk
by them as you pass through here down to the women’s prayer area in the back.
[Jack shows
Kate the schematics of the building.]
JACK: You’ve
got one shot at this. Once you pass them, their backs will be to you. So make
sure you get a clean look at the whole room. Now if you spot Ali, go past
the women’s prayer area here, up here to this fire-exit door. We’ll disable
the alarm while you’re inside. Exit through the door, we’ll be waiting for
you in the alley. Are you clear?
KATE: Yeah.
JACK: Are your
men in place?
BAKER: Yeah.
JACK: Okay.
Let’s go. Kate, you sure about this?
KATE: Yeah.
JACK: Okay.
Take this. If Ali sees you, or you feel like you’re in any kind of danger,
press that button. It’ll send a distress signal to my walkie-talkie and we’ll
be in immediately. Be careful.
[Kate, wearing
the hijab, armed with the transmitter, walks out to the open. She enters
the mosque.]
JACK: She’s
in.
[Kate enters
the mosque. She is in a waiting area where there are shelves of shoes.
The greeter stands there. They exchange greetings in Arabic.]
GREETER: The
prayers have already begun.
KATE: I’m sorry
I’m late. There was traffic.
GREETER: Have
you prayed with us before?
KATE: Yes.
It’s been a while though, I’ve been away.
[The greeter
looks suspiciously at Kate before opening the curtains that separated the
rooms. Kate places her shoes in one of the shelves and enters the men’s praying
area. Kate looks around slowly and spots Ali, her hands gripping the signal
device. Ali glances in her direction. Kate hurries through the women’s praying
area, but accidentally drops the device. She picks it up again and goes through
the fire exit. She walks barefooted out to the alley. Jack grabbed her by
the arm by surprise after a few steps, and immediately muffled her scream
by his hand.]
JACK: It’s
Jack. You’re alright.
KATE: He’s
in there. Sayed Ali. He’s in there.

MIKE: Stanton’s
last call was to Virginia. He wasn’t on long enough to get a complete number,
but, we know it’s a Langley prefix.
PALMER: CIA...
Sergeant.
[The Sergeant
runs his security card through the device and opens the door to the room holding
Roger Stanton. President Palmer enters, Roger Stanton stands up.]
PALMER: Sit
down.
[Stanton sits
again.]
PALMER: We
have it all Roger. You reactivated OPCOM with an eyes-only order. And we know
you used it to communicate with Colonel Samuels as recently as 2 hours ago.
And we’ve connected Samuels directly to the mercenaries that tried to kill
Jack Bauer. I don’t know Roger. It almost seems as if you want this bomb to
go off today. But I’ll tell you this: if people die, Roger- You’ll be executed.
And even if we find the bomb in time, you’ll still get life without the possibility
of parole. But all I want… is to find the bomb in time. That’s why I have
a deal for you. You tell me everything- I mean everything- I’ll bury this.
You resign- due to health reasons. You’ll collect your pension. You’ll retire
in a nice house somewhere in the country. You’ll be given a written-grant
of immunity, and nobody will ever know anything about this.
[Stanton nods.]
PALMER: Do
we have a deal?
STANTON: I
don’t know what you’re talking about Mr. President. I’ve done nothing wrong.
I don’t know anymore about the bomb than you do.
[Palmer exits.]
---
JACK: I want
your teams to cover these to back exits to the alley. Okay here’s what we’re
looking for… A Middle-Eastern man, late 30s. He’s wearing a black shirt, silver
buttons, black pants. Ms. Warner and I are going cross the street; we’re going
to cover the main entrance. As soon as the crowd starts to leave the building,
she’ll identify Ali. I’ll relay the position to Agent Baker, he will give
the go.
BAKER: No one
moves before that happens; the last thing we want him to do is run. If you
fire your weapon, shoot to wound only.
JACK: Okay.
We’re looking at 19 minutes before the service is over. Is everybody clear?
We cannot afford any mistakes here. Okay. Let’s go.
[All the teams
get in position. Dozens of SWAT teams armed with guns and equipped with vests
and helmets guards several entrances. A sniper is positioned with his rifle
aimed at the main entrance. Jack and Kate crosses the street to go back to
the car park. An agent hands Jack a pair of binoculars.]
AGENT: There
you are sir.
JACK: Thank
you.
[Jack and Kate
go up to the roof.]
JACK: You control
the focus with the center dial here. … What you did for us in the mosque,
I thought it was really courageous. Thank you.
KATE: You’re
kidding me. I’m still shaking.
JACK: You did
great. The prayer service lets out in 17 minutes.
---
[Kim treks
through jungle. Suddenly, she hears a noise behind her. There’s a mountain
lion some distance behind her. She runs through the rough terrain, the lion
following behind. Suddenly, Kim runs and gets her foot caught in a trap. She
sees the mountain lion stopping on a large rock some distance away, it growls
and looks at her.]

[President
David Palmer travels in a convoy. He exits the car and meets a man.]
MAN (TS): You
wanted to see me sir?
PALMER: Thanks
for keeping this discreet.
MAN (TS): Of
course.
PALMER: Ted,
how long have you been with the Secret Service?
TED SIMMONS:
Five and a half years sir.
PALMER: I understand
you have a background in Special Ops.
TED: Green
Berets, sir. Unit 7 out of Fort Myers, ’87.
PALMER: Ever
had a chance to put your training to use?
TED: The Gulf
sir.
PALMER: Anywhere
else?
TED: There
were some other… covert ops.
PALMER: Under
the directorate at the CIA? … It’s alright Ted. I’m not on a witch-hunt here.
But I do need you to answer the question.
TED: Yes sir.
For the CIA.
PALMER: Good,
do you understand the gravity of today’s situation?
TED: Of course
sir.
PALMER: I guess
you’ve heard by now, that Roger Stanton’s no longer functioning as the head
of NSA.
TED: I heard
he was arrested.
PALMER: He
was, under my authority. What I’m about to ask you to do falls outside the
parameters of the charges of the Secret Service. You won’t be able to tell
anyone about this without my direct consent. Are you still with me Ted?
TED: What would
you like me to do sir?
PALMER: Extract
information from Roger Stanton.
TED: I see…
If he resists, how far am I permitted to go?
PALMER: Whatever
you need to do.
[Ted nods.]
TED: Yes sir.
---
[Michelle runs
into CTU.]
MICHELLE: Tony!
Richards and Maccabee were shot. So was Reza Naiyeer. They’re all dead.
TONY: What?!
MICHELLE: Yeah,
a janitor found their bodies. I just got off the phone with the LAPD.
TONY: Are there
any suspects?
MICHELLE: Last
time I talked to Maccabee, she said that Marie Warner had just gotten there;
she wanted to talk with Reza.
TONY: Marie
Warner? She was there during the shootings?
MICHELLE: Yes.
Security cameras show she was the only one to leave the building in the last
40 minutes.
[Tony shakes
his head in disbelief.]
---
[Jack’s phone
rings, he answers it.]
JACK: Bauer.
TONY: Hey,
it’s Tony. How’s it going over there?
JACK: We got
about 10 minutes.
TONY: Are you
still with Kate Warner?
JACK: Yes I
am.
TONY: Look,
I need to give you some information, but you need to keep this conversation
one-sided. Can you do that?
JACK: Yes.
TONY: Richards
and Maccabee have been shot and killed. So was Reza Naiyeer.
JACK: Uh-huh.
TONY: Now,
we have strong evidence that Marie Warner, Kate Warner’s sister was the shooter.
JACK: Yeah,
I understand.
TONY: Look,
has Kate Warner been contacted by anybody in the last half-hour?
[Jack turns
away from Kate and walks a small distance away. Kate looks at Jack.]
JACK: No, she’s
been with me the entire time.
TONY: Jack,
I think you should treat her as an unknown. For all we know, she’s working
with her sister.
JACK: I don’t
think so. Ali’s men would’ve killed her if we hadn’t shown up. Look, if Kate’s
sister’s part of this, or if she’s one of the terrorists, I really don’t think
Kate knows about it.
TONY: Okay,
Jack, that’s your call. I just wanted to give you the information alright?
JACK: Okay,
thanks.
[Jack hangs
up.]
KATE: Was that
your office?
JACK: Yeah.
KATE: Are they
still holding my dad?
JACK: Yes,
your dad’s safe.
KATE: What
about my sister? Is she okay? Has anyone heard from her?
JACK: I don’t
think so.

[Marie Warner
in a short black wig and a low cut blouse walks into the lumber shop. She
walks over to the lockers and looks the locker marked Marko. With all the
men staring at her, she walks over to the manager, who just exited his office.]
MARIE: Hey,
‘scue me. Bill told me you’re the guy in charge.
FOREMAN: I’m
the foreman.
[Marie smiles
flirtatiously at the man.]
MARIE: Well
um… This is gonna sound crazy, but I need a favor. I need to get something
out of my boyfriend’s locker.
FOREMAN: Your
boyfriend?
MARIE: Marko
Khachami?
FOREMAN: You
go out with Marko?
MARIE: I did.
We got into a fight last night. It’s a long story… Point is, I’m not going
out with him anymore.
FOREMAN: That’s
why he didn’t show up for work today?
MARIE: I guess.
It was a pretty bad fight. And he’s got something in his locker that belongs
to me.
FOREMAN: I
can’t go opening people’s lockers. You’ll have to go work it out with Marko.
MARIE: I don’t
know how well you know Marko, but if I could’ve worked it out with him, I
wouldn’t be asking now. Please, it’s really important.
FOREMAN: I’m
sorry. I can’t.
MARIE: Can’t,
or won’t?
[Marie leans
in to the foreman and let her hand linger on his.]
MARIE: I’d
really show my appreciation.
[The foreman
stares down at Marie. Marie’s hands travels up the foreman’s side and pauses
by his back jean pocket where she let her hand touch his bunch of keys.]
MARIE: And
I’d show it to you first.
FOREMAN: What
do you mean?
MARIE: Is this
your office?
FOREMAN: Yeah.
MARIE: Does
it have a lock?
[The foreman
looks around, pushes the door open, and leads Marie inside. He locks the door
behind him and shuts the blinds.]

TED: Time is
of the essence, Mr. Stanton. Intensity and duration of the electrical current
will increase substantially each time I repeat a question.
[Ted Simmons
prepares the electric shocker device. Roger Stanton is strapped to a chair,
with his feet in a pan of water.]
STANTON: Yes…
I know the drill Agent Simmons.
TED: What is
your agenda, Mr. Stanton, and who else is involved?
[Ted Simmons
shocks Roger Stanton. He also reaches over to the machine to turn up the power.]
TED: Who else
knew about the bomb, Mr. Stanton? Who have you been working with?
STANTON: I
don’t know anything about a bomb…
[Ted Simmons
shocks Roger Stanton again. President Palmer watches from a screen in his
office. He winces as Simmons holds the device to Stanton’s head.]
TED: Who are
you working with Mr. Stanton?
---
[Tony Almeida
enters the room where Bob Warner is held. Bob is being restrained by two guards
by the shoulder and forced to sit in a chair.]
BOB: Please,
Mr. Almeida, just tell me what is going on with my daughter Kate.
TONY: I already
told you Mr. Warner. She’s fine.
BOB: Then what
is she doing with one of your agents?
TONY: Reza
Naiyeer is dead.
BOB: Oh god…
TONY: We just
found out. He and two of our agents were shot and killed at your office.
BOB: What about
Marie? Is she okay? Please tell me Marie is okay…
TONY: Look…
I’m sorry to have to tell you this Mr. Warner… But we believe that Marie committed
the murders.
BOB: It’s a
trick. I know it’s a trick. You’re trying to trick me.
[Tony hands
Bob a CTU file.]

JACK(RADIO):
Okay, here they come. All teams, be alert. They’re coming out now.
[Kate Warner
watches the people through binoculars.]
JACK: Can you
see him yet?
KATE: No… Wait
a minute!
JACK: Is that
him?
KATE: It could
be the one behind those 3 men.
JACK: Just
take your time, we need to be sure.
KATE: I can’t
see his face. … No, it’s not him. I don’t see him. I don’t see him!
JACK: Keep
looking! He’s gotta be in the crowd.
KATE: There’s
the greeter! Normally he’d be the last one out!
JACK(RADIO):
Dammit! Anything on the back exits?
BAKER(RADIO):
Negative, no one’s gone in or out.
JACK: Dammit!
Kate, you would tell me if you saw him right?
KATE: Of course
I would. What do you mean? Why are you looking at me like that, as if I’m
suspicious? I didn’t see him!
JACK: Okay.
Okay. Just relax. He must have made you when you were inside the mosque.
JACK(RADIO):
Agent Baker, he didn’t come outside. Give the word to go. Secure the building.
I repeat, give the word to go! Secure the building!
JACK: Open
the gate.
[Jack hands
a random man his binoculars. Agents open the gates, they rush outside. Teams
from everywhere rushes in on the building. The greeter is terrified.]
GREETER: What’s
going on?!
JACK: Federal
agent. I’ve got a warrant. You take care of her.
[The SWAT teams
storm into the praying area with their guns out. Jack walks forward to the
imam.]
IMAM: I am
the imam of this mosque. What’s going on?
JACK: Just
calm down sir. Calm down. We’re federal agents. Just 15 minutes ago, we’ve
received positive identification of an international terrorist here in your
mosque. We need to find him. We need to find him now.
IMAM: Do you
have a search warrant?
JACK: Yes I
do, sir.
[Jack hands
the imam the search warrant. Suddenly, there’s a loud explosive noise and
an orange glow coming from the woman’s praying area.]
JACK: Get back
here. Keep her against the wall. Can you see anything?
BAKER: Clear!
[Jack and Baker
goes through the prayer area and goes by a door. Jack spots a burning man,
kneeling on the floor. The man is completely alight.]
JACK: Dammit!
Put the blanket on him!
[Jack takes
the fire extinguisher and starts shooting it on the man. Baker runs in with
a blanket to put out the fire also. They successfully put out the fire; Baker
turns over the charred corpse.]
BAKER: The
clothes match the description.
JACK(RADIO):
Team A and B maintain positions. We’ve got Ali.
BAKER: He’s
dead, Jack.
JACK: Sonuvabitch.
KATE: Oh my
God. Oh my God.
[Jack takes
out his cell phone to call back to CTU. Kate Warner kneels on the ground,
gasping in horror at the corpse. The corpse’s facial features are burnt and
cannot be identified.]
WOMAN(PHONE):
CTU.
JACK(PHONE):
This is Jack Bauer. Get Mason on the line. Ali has killed himself.
---
[Marie Warner
looking through Marko Khachami’s locker and taking out a small box like thing.
She closes the locker and drops the keys back into a very stunned foreman’s
hands.]
[Bob Warner
sitting in the interrogation room with Tony Almeida pacing around him.]
[Kim Bauer
trapped in the forest, bound by the wire-trap.]
---
[Jack spots
the charred corpses’ legs.]
JACK: You know
what- I’m gonna have to get back to you. These clothes don’t belong to this
man. Look at the pants; they’re three inches too short.
JACK(RADIO):
Maintain secure exits. Maintain secure exits. Ali is still in the building.
Repeat: Ali is still in the building. Repeat, Ali is still in the building.
